Doppelgängers concept 1: Survivors

2 photoshop concepts for the 'survivors'. For a current project I'm doing at uni. Just quick paintjobs with details about the assets and a 3 tone backdrop.

The Nord

A friend asked me to design a logo for a gym. The gym owner asked for a Viking theme so this is what I came up with.

The first response I got was that the cloak took away from the vikings build, since it's for a gym he wanted more muscle showing.

So this was how I went with the design.

Unfortunately they decided not to go with it, but it was still a good experience.

From a dream I had.

Waking during a surgery to find a twisted doctor looming, I liked the idea of attempting this because of the perspective. Elongated view and dark hallways.

Concept concepts

I wanted to experiment with a way to produce concept sketches much faster than I normally would by simply working into a grey backdrop with just hints of colour.

I wanted to practice painting portrairts in photoshop, so I looked at a refference image on deviant art http://nothingreal0.deviantart.com/art/Nano-Classic-79478320 and attempted a paint.

Metamorphosis of Narcissus

Looking at Dali's original painting, I attempted a transcription, using the same themes and trying to hold the style.
